Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: Common tools, materials and equipment used in the general maintenance trades; Basic methods and techniques used in maintenance and construction work; Safe working methods and procedures. Ability to: Skillfully use a variety of tools and equipment utilized in one or more of the basic maintenance trades; work from blueprints, shop drawings and sketches; Maintain simple records and prepare reports; Understand and carry out oral and written directions; Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships Experience: 1 year of experience as a semiskilled or skilled worker in one or more of the basic maintenance trades. Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by training or course work in one of the basic maintenance trades. License: Possession of a valid CA Motor Vehicle Operator's License and insurability by the District's liability insurance carrier. Clean Driving record required. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: *Letter of Introduction *Resume *Letters of Reference Letters (3) - must be current (within the last two calendar years) Background clearance (upon hire) TB clearance (upon hire)
