CRY-ROP is seeking a Culinary Arts teacher. The Culinary Arts course explores the wide range of occupations and career opportunities within the food service and hospitality industry. Students will incorporate critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity in this applied laboratory-based course. This course focuses on nutrition, health and wellness, food safety and sanitation, food preparation techniques, meal service, etiquette, cultures, food production and technology along with facilities and equipment. Class requirements also include career preparation skills such as job search, resume, job interview and communications skills. Experience with a public school is desirable. The successful candidate will have not less than three (3) years’ experience in the field and/or education and experience combined that meets the criteria. We will assist with the credential process, the cost of which is approximately $265 for first time credential holders.
