Job Summary
Position Summary Under general supervision, the Computer Support Technician supports the operations of CalPac’s IT services by providing initial technical support to students and staff; maintaining inventory of technology equipment; installing software programs; managing staff email accounts through G Suite; adding content to school websites to ensure data is kept up to date; acting as a resource to the leadership team related to the technology needs of the organization. IMPORTANT: The selected candidate must reside and work within the State of California for the duration of their employment.
Requirements / Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. At least one year of experience involving computerized ordering, receipt, issuance, and storage; two years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and basic repair of computer hardware and software. Graduation from high school or equivalent. Two years of college level coursework in computer hardware and software applications or a related field is highly desirable. Experience with Google Admin and G Suite account management. Hold and maintain a valid California Driver’s License; proof of automobile insurance; and full time use of a dependable automobile that is insured pursuant to California regulations. State and federal background clearance (LiveScan) to work with students (Education Code Section 44237). No prospective employee can report to work without this clearance being received and Human Resources notifying the immediate supervisor of this clearance. Proof of a clear TB test dated within the last 60 days (Education Code Section 49406) upon employment and thereafter updated every four years.
