Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the direction of Highlands Early Learning Center (HELC) coordinator, assists Lead Instructional Paraeducator and Instructional Paraeducator II in the implementation of lesson planning, and any related classroom activities. Ensuring a safe environment for children by inspecting equipment, furniture, learning devices, and responding to each child’s particular needs and characteristics. Performs clerical and instructional support duties as assigned. (Please read the job description before applying for this position.)
Requirements / Qualifications

Proof of Highest Level of Education . Child Development Associate (CDA) or Child Development Associate Credential or a credential approved by the Department of Children and Family Services or State of California Teacher Credentialing as being equivalent to or greater than the Child Development Associate Credential (CDAE) . Qualification to apply for a valid California Child Development Associate Teacher permit. . 6 units ECE is recommended.
. One (1) year of prior experience working in a preschool setting is required. . Knowledge of and conversational competency in a second language is recommended. . Basic knowledge of play-oriented subjects and learning sufficient to assist children with individual and group activities. . Basic knowledge of the goals, principles, and practices for implementing age-appropriate child development and guidance in a pre-kindergarten environment.
