Job Summary
Whittier Christian High School is seeking a part-time Esports and Head Coach. This position will be responsible for the varsity eSports program and is in charge of recruiting student-players, managing the budget, overseeing the general operations, coaching, and building the program identity. The preferred candidate will have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and potential weekends.

JOB DUTIES:
Recruit and retain students for the eSports program
Provide guidance and input on games selected for players
Offer regular feedback on equipment upgrades, updates, and maintenance
Organize team events , competition schedules
Monitor and mentor the academic and mental well-being of players
Review agreements, contract deadlines, rules, and compliance within any
associated league, conference, and affiliates.
Ensure all persons and functions of the program exemplify the character and
mission of WCHS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
At least one year competitive eSports experience involving team-based
multiplayer online video games
Expert knowledge of multiple games including some combination of League of Legends, Overwatch, Fortnite, Rocket League
Coaching or teaching experience preferred
Demonstrated initiative and creativity
Strong relationship-building skills, proficient written and oral communication skills
