Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE: • Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years increasingly responsible clerical experience. • Copy of valid First Aid certificate. • Knowledge of school office terminology, practices and procedures. • Knowledge of applicable sections of State Education Code and other applicable laws. • Knowledge of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment. • Ability to oversee the activities and operations of a front office at an assigned school site. • Ability to perform and coordinate difficult office, secretarial and clerical work involving independent judgment and requiring accuracy and speed. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. • Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and work confidentially with discretion. • Ability to administer first aid to ill or injured children. • Ability to type at a corrected rate of 50 words per minute.
