Provide school nurse services at elementary schools for the evaluation, improvement, and protection of the health of pupils and school personnel in accordance with state law and district policies. Responsibilities include conducting medical case finding, screening,and referral activities related to health defects; referring parents of pupils needing medical care to appropriate private or community resources; serve as a health education resource person to staff, pupils, parents and community; provide emergency nusing procedures for ill or injured pupils at school and notify parents and teachers of pupils about illnesses, physical defects, and potential health problems and provide health counseling directed toward pursuit of appropriate action.
