ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under supervision of the Early Learning Program Director, do a wide variety of clerical work involving data entry and record keeping, assist with budge, prepares reports, conducts inventories and performs special projects as needed; and do other related work as required. This is a non-exempt position. TYPICAL DUTIES: - Perform a wide variety of clerical and computer work related to the assigned function; - Perform Preschool Program duties, including data entry and intake, as needed - Develop Training for Site Preschool/Child Development Sites; - Create forms. - Answer the phones. - Order supplies for all sites. - Assist with 801Am DRDP and other child development reports. - Maintains NoHo/Kinder Systems computer files - Develop and maintain files; operate standard office machines; - Determine family eligibility for services; - Calculate family fees; - Bill families and post payments in NoHo/Kinder Systems - Comply with eligibility for guideline set by the State Department of Education; - Complete data reports; - Process requisitions and purchase orders; - Maintain confidentiality. - Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings sessions - Other duties as assigned
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION: - AA degree (preferred) from an accredited college in office technology, business or related field, and equivalent training and experience in child development. Two years minimum clerical experience. - High School graduate or equivalent. Or Technical training or related college units in computer operations desired. EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE: - Two years minimum clerical experience with increasing responsibility in a clerical position. - Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Knowledge of computer software. Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports, type accurately, and work with diverse cultures. Good organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and cooperatively with others. Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing and maintain confidentiality.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 1. Valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of minimum California vehicle insurance. 2. Ability to walk, stoop and squat as needed; be able to lift and carry in excess of 40 pounds on a regular basis and to sit as much as 75% of scheduled working time. 3. Criminal background check and fingerprint clearance (paid by Employer), pre-employment physical health check and TB clearance (paid by employer when conducted by employer-contracted medical provider).
