Job Title: Assistant High School Principal

Reports to: High School Principal

Work Year: 210 Days

Primary Function: Assist the Principal in the organization and operation of the school. Provide leadership as part of the school management team and the District Administrative Council.

Responsibilities May Include
* Assist with the organization, coordination, and evaluation of student, teacher and community orientation programs;
* Develop and coordinate the student discipline and attendance programs;
* Assist with the supervision and evaluation of personnel as assigned;
* Assist in verifying that the current curriculum and graduation requirements meet the requirements of SB-813, and the suggestions of the Model Curriculum Standards;
* Attend and participate in District meetings and programs as delegated by the principal;
* Develop effective guidance services for Alhambra High School students;
* Serve as the liaison between the comprehensive high school and the alternative program;
* Establish a safe, orderly and clean campus environment, including lockers and student parking;
* Assist in the supervision of classified personnel and operations;
* Assist with supervision of school activities and sporting events;
* Serve as a liaison between school and community agencies in various matters; and
* Fulfill job duties as established in the annual organization chart of Alhambra High School management team.
* Coordinate the development of proper student conduct and attitudes;
* Plan and implement campus control of students and visitors;
* Coordinate and implement effective child welfare and attendance regulations;
* Assist with the organization, coordination, and evaluation of student and teacher orientation programs;
* Assist in the evaluation of certificated personnel and instructional programs;
* Develop and coordinate the master calendar of school activities;
* Administer the policy of assigning teacher and other adult supervision of student activities;
* Administer student awards programs;
* Serve as chairperson and coordinator of the Student Study (CARE) Team;
* Assist with the management and implementation of computerized attendance, scheduling and grading system (SASI);
* Provide leadership in the Western Association of Schools & Colleges (WASC) accreditation process
* Assist with the development of the Master Schedule; and
* Other duties as assigned.
