Job Summary

Job Summary

DEFINITION: Plans, directs, and manages the activities and operations of the Food Services department including the leadership over catering, cafeterias and staff, purchasing of food products and supplies, inventory control, budget administration, nutrition, menu management, and meal distribution.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to: * Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: nutritional science, food service management, or business administration related field * Bilingual in Spanish preferred * Registered Dietitian status is highly preferred *Two to five years of progressively more demanding experience in school food service or commercial food service operation * Demonstrated knowledge of principles and methods of large-scale food service organization and management * Demonstrated abilities in the areas of problem solving and management of human resources * Familiar with Food Services technology and experience with Microsoft Office Licenses and Certificates * Valid California Driver’s License * Certificate of Completion of a safety/sanitation course
