Job Summary

**CATEGORICALLY FUNDED** ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER, FOCUS: INTERVENTION SUPPORT (K-6) 7 hours per day; 138 work days (74% of Academic Calendar) Salary placement will be determined at an hourly rate of the Teacher's Salary Schedule A; BCLAD Stipend for eligible candidates Up to 10 years max service credit for new hires Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits Under the general supervision of the site administrator, the Interventionist serves as specialized classroom teacher for students in need of academic intervention. Emphasis will be placed on addressing students’ academic needs in English Language Arts and Mathematics.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing services in grades K-6 (Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with CLAD, BCLAD, or English Learner Authorization) One year of successful teaching experience at the elementary level implementing the California Content Standards is required Please submit a current resume, a copy of Credential, and 2-3 letters of recommendation.

Appointment to this position predicated upon submitting a negative TB result. In addition, the selected candidate must complete the state fingerprinting requirements and the district must receive a certificate of clearance by the California Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation. Within three days of employment, all new employees shall show appropriate documents, which certify that they are legally eligible to work in the United States.
