Job Summary

Job Summary

The Community School Coordinator will coordinate activities and align resources to support Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) in the development and implementation of efforts to improve and sustain community schools. In accordance with the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) initiative, the Community School Coordinator supports and encourages LEAs and schools to work closely with teachers, students, families and the community. The Community School Coordinator will facilitate the growth of community partnerships and improve student outcomes by maintaining an integrated focus on academics, health, social services, community development, and community engagement. Requirements / Qualifications

Proof of Highest Level of Education . Minimum of three years of secondary classroom teaching or counseling experience required. . Masters Degree in Counselor Education or related field from accredited college or university preferred. . Current valid California teaching credential and/or Pupil Personnel Services credential (school counseling credential). . Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional and intervention programs; ability to plan and implement professional development based on the intervention and student engagement framework.

. Ability to design and present professional development for teachers and administrators. . Understanding/Experience with implementing the principles, practices, procedures, rules, codes, regulations, techniques and strategies of providing successful leadership and conflict management skills; effectively work with individuals and groups; effective project management skills; risk management; interpersonal skills utilizing tact, patience and courtesy; proficient computer technology and software skills. . Knowledge of assessment and intervention of high-risk students. . The ability to communicate with a diverse group of people on a daily basis . Possession of a valid California driver's license
