Our enrollment is growing because we offer students a schedule that allows for a mix of in-person and online education. This position is fully remote and live (synchronous) teaching is required Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mondays are for meetings and planning and live teaching is not required. This position will cover multiple science subjects and co-teaching responsibilities for financial literacy. For the 24/25 school year, the candidate will teach Earth Science (both middle school and high school) The following years will cover: Chemistry (middle school) Physical Science (high school) Physics (middle school) and Financial Literacy (high school) Biology (both middle school and high school) We are an Independent Study, hybrid learning program. You must hold a valid preliminary or clear CA credential (science credential preferred). The position requires excellent communication skills as you will be working with in-person students who will be supported by in-person staff and virtual students. Training starts August 1. Most teachers are done with compliance items (report cards, assigned planning, student progress paperwork) by mid-June and released for summer break; however, contracts do go through June 30th if teachers need extra time or support. Teachers may move up quickly on a salary schedule because Trivium uses a performance-based salary model.
