Job Summary
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Delivers goods, mail, food and supplies. Keep the assigned District buildings in such a state of operating excellence that they present no problem or interruptions to Food Service. TYPICAL DUTIES: Receive, inspect and unload food service delivery trucks. Drive, load and unload food service products or other items to school district facilities maintaining the delivery schedule established by the supervisor. Transport inter district mail, supplies, food and/or equipment to/from schools, department or sites. Maintain assigned vehicle(s); daily vehicle checks and monthly inspections. Assist in physical inventories as assigned by the director. Properly maintain, rotate and store food, products and equipment according to last in first out (FIFO). Maintains all records on products and supplies to ensure compliance with health, safety rules and regulations conforming to Federal/State guidelines, maintains all records on products and supplies, Serves as custodian and follows custodian and follows the custodian job description when scheduled or as directed.
Requirements / Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. California driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record required. Ability to pass district tests with a 70% or above required. Ability to pass lift test 100lbs required. Experience working as a truck driver and/or a shipping receiving position preferred. Computer skills preferred.
