Part Time-Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Teacher for Heritage Peak Charter (Independent Study/Homeschool) Sacramento County and surrounding counties at Heritage Peak Charter School

Job Summary
This position will be supporting our Heritage Peak Charter School students. This part-time (up to 29 hours/week) assignment will teach VAPA classes in the areas of Theater and/or Music and/or Media Arts. Travel is required within the greater Sacramento area and Solano county. Performances and showcases are part of the job requirements and may occur outside of normal school hours.
Requirements / Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in art education, fine arts, music, or related field (master’s degree preferred) •Valid California teaching credential required •Authorization in a Visual and/or Performing Art (preferred) •English Learner authorization required

We are seeking a passionate and innovative California standards-based Art Teacher to join our team to teach classes in the areas of Theatre, Music, and Media Arts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in visual arts education and a deep understanding of the California Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) standards. They will inspire creativity, cultivate artistic skills, and foster a love for the arts among students in grades TK-12.
Pacific Charter Institute offers a unique instructional model serving homeschool and independent study students across 16 counties through Heritage Peak Charter School, Rio Valley Charter School, Valley View Charter Prep, and Sutter Peak Charter Academy, and New Pacific Charter.
