Responsibilities:
• Maintaining PowerSchool and Canvas systems
• Fix PowerSchool errors, update student and family information, and pull information for teachers, support staff, and admin as needed
• Manage student enrollment Status in PowerSchool
• Troubleshooting systems issues with teachers
• Creating systems videos explaining features for teachers, support staff, and admin
• Collaborate with Principal on balancing rosters and creating course plans for cohorts
• Collaborate with CALPADS coordinator and Student Success Coach to identify discrep-ancies with new students for special programs
• Create Master Agreements for signatures
• Learning Periods: send end of LP information to teachers; including reminders for PE logs, proper work sample labeling, and any necessary video tutorials
• Calculate days of attendance for all enrolled students
• Create student report cards
• Fix discrepancies between report cards, transcripts, and any historical grade issues for MS and HS students
• Run homeroom data and add to spreadsheet tabs for each teacher
• Gather work samples lists from teachers
• Gather teacher Attendance Records for annual independent audit
• Support teachers on syncing gradebook information between Canvas and PowerTeach-er and troubleshooting problems
• Add all new student information to tutoring and testing spreadsheets and rosters
• Collaborate with IT to support Chromebook and tech to new students
• Troubleshoot with IT with issues that arise
• Collaborate with CALPADS coordinator as needed
• Collaboration meetings weekly and as needed
• Collaborate with Principal to audit teacher files and folders to ensure all files are in compliance with CA standards
• All admin pull files for annual independent audit
• May design, write or modify computer programs as needed
• Reviews and evaluates procedures, schedules and system controls.
• Evaluates data and reports and maintains quality control.
• Interfaces with software and hardware vendor personnel to resolve technical issues.
• Creates data reports, and perform file transfers and data conversions.
• Reports progress status and problem to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• California residency required
• High quality written and verbal communication skills
• High digital proficiency in Microsoft applications, Google Workspace, and OS platforms
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines consistently
• Understanding of and ability to manage confidential information
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred
• Ability to work with a diverse and distributed student body and peer group
• High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on fre-quent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
• Knowledge of principles, techniques, methods, and procedures pertaining to the vari-ous aspects of networked computer systems
• Understanding of appropriate computer hardware and software systems
• Experience with computer analysis and operation techniques; programming languages, methods and techniques of training
• Knowledge of database development techniques and software used to implement them.
