Requirements / Qualifications
Virtual schools are new models in public education. They look both backward to what we know works well in educating children and forward to see how technology can help us implement these strategies with children. Virtual school teachers are part of a pioneering effort. Our teachers, therefore, need to share the school’s pioneering mission and approach. The High School Instructional Lead will oversee assessment and support programs at the high school, support staff in implementing data-based interventions, resource and course development, and collaborate with leadership and support teams on professional development opportunities. HOURS AND SALARY INFORMATION: Full time position work Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:00pm Salary: Annual Salary based on degree & years of experience - tinyurl.com/CAVA-Lead-Salary-Schedule We do participate in CalSTRS. REQUIRED CREDENTIAL/CERTIFICATION: (All applicants MUST have the following at the time of applying) Must hold a valid California Teaching Credential California English Learner Authorization Requirements/Experience: • Clear understanding of the English Language Arts and Mathematical standards and frameworks • Strong knowledge of the principles, theories, practices, methods, and techniques used in English Language Arts and Math intervention programs • Strong organizational skills • Detail oriented • Able to balance and complete multiple projects within given deadlines • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Self-directed but comfortable working as part of a team • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CAVA
