Job Summary
Works independently under the general supervision of the Deputy Superintendent of Schools to organize, develop, facilitate, and manage all aspects all Child Development programs under the Child Development Division of Lake County Office of Education. Provide leadership, organization, and coordination for all Child Development services. Create a vision and business plan based on program philosophy, which includes diversity, inclusive practice and non-discrimination and provides administration for all Lake County Office of Education’s Child Development programs. Oversee the development and implementation of developmentally appropriate educational objectives and instructional programs, procedures, and services to all children enrolled in Child Development Programs.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: • B.A. degree or higher preferred from an accredited or approved college or university with a major or emphasis in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or at least two years of teaching experience in a State Preschool or Elementary School; • Six semester units or equivalent quarter units shall be required in Administration. Experience: • Three years successful teaching experience in elementary school and/or preschool preferred • Related experience in recreation programs for school age children highly desirable Licenses and Other Requirements: • Possess a valid Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. • Administrative Services Credential highly desirable Application Process: To be considered for this position, the candidate must submit: • An online application • Cover Letter/Letter of Introduction • Resume • (2) Professional Letters of Recommendation Professional reference checking will be completed in the final hiring process. Health and Welfare: There is an annual benefits cap of $17,500; this includes medical, prescription, dental, and vision for employees and all eligible dependents, based on the Tier coverage selected by the employee. The employee's out-of-pocket contribution amount will vary based on the selection; employees may purchase coverage through a 125-cafeteria plan. Employer-paid term life insurance for the employee only. The employee will be a member of the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS). LCOE does not participate in the Social Security system.
