Presentation Parish School has an opening for a full-time 8th grade homeroom/Language Arts teacher to join our roster of experienced, motivated and effective teaching professionals. The successful candidate will assume a classroom of up to 35 students (based on enrollment). We strive in every way to create an inspiring, faithful and enriching atmosphere both for our students and our personnel.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Bachelor or Master’s degree, California Teaching Credential (preferred), 2+ years’ experience teaching middle school classes (Language Arts preferred)

Comments and Other Information
• MUST have strong knowledge of Catholic faith, curriculum, and liturgies, especially in the sacraments of penance, first Eucharist, and confirmation preparation (Catechist Certification preferred)
• Must have strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills. Computer proficiency and solid experience with online platforms (such as Zoom and Google Classroom) is required.
• Must possess a strong work ethic. Some late evenings and weekends will be required.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Must be extremely detail oriented, creative, resourceful and organized.
