About the Employer

We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of Secondary Education and/or administrative designee, the Supervisor of Career Technical Education (CTE) assists in managing the Antioch Unified School District’s CTE program by planning, developing, maintaining, supervising, and evaluating all aspects of CTE. This position oversees district-wide post-secondary preparations, including workforce preparedness, financial literacy, and CTE program development and implementation, all through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Supervisor of Career Technical Education works with the school administrators and community to include a range of opportunities across the continuum of career awareness, exploration, and career preparation (including career training) to support the program objectives. This position is responsible for implementing a comprehensive district-wide employment and internship program for all students associated with CTE Pathway programs.

SELECTION & EXAMINATIONS: The selection process will consist of a competitive application, supplemental, and resume screening for experience, qualifications, and completeness. Application evaluation (weighted 10%) and an oral/performance panel interview (weighted 90%) will be conducted. A passing score must be achieved on each portion of the exams. Final selection will be made from those who achieve the three highest ranking scores.
