Welcome to the Santa Maria-Bonita School District website. We are the largest school district in Santa Barbara County with about 17,500 pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade students. In the heart of the coastal agricultural area, we celebrate our families and the support they provide to the students of the District. The District is comprised of seventeen elementary schools, four junior high schools, and one combined elementary and junior high. Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the Director of Student Services, the Coordinator of Family and Community Engagement develops and coordinates opportunities for parent and family engagement in a variety of ways, including professional learning, shared responsibility and leadership, volunteering, and capacity-building to support student academic success, learning at home and the effective navigation through the educational system.
Requirements / Qualifications
1. California Administrative Services Credential and Teaching Credential. 2. Any combination equivalent to a Master's degree in education and experience in classroom teaching, evaluation, research, coaching, curricular implementation, and school leadership; administrative experience, experience supervising professional development resources, and/or business management experience preferred.
