Job Summary
Under direction of the County Superintendent of Education, performs professional library duties in the Mono County Library System; assists branch library personnel in the selection and utilization of library materials and equipment; evaluates library services and personnel; develops and implements appropriate public information programs promoting and encouraging the use of public library facilities; creates and implements special programs for the library system; Participates in the Mono County Office of Education Cabinet; directs and oversees the Mono County Law Library; does related work as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
-Master’s degree in Library & Information Science from an accredited college or university required. -Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of public administration and of the laws applicable to library service in this state. -Five years of professional public library experience required, with proven management and supervisory experience.
