Job Summary

The Director, Early Learning Partnerships, is a Regular, Full-Time, Exempt position reporting to the Senior Director, Early Learning. The Director, Early Learning Partnerships initiates, stewards, and tracks key partnerships and stakeholders to advance PBS SoCal’s strategic commitment to providing Early Learning services in Southern California, statewide, and beyond. This position is responsible for increasing the awareness, reach, engagement, and impact of PBS SoCal’s Early Learning services through creative new distribution and partnerships with schools, districts, statewide and local agencies, PBS stations, and other organizations focused on serving early learners and the adults who support them. Representing PBS SoCal’s Early Learning efforts externally, this individual leads the execution of our partnership work in collaboration with PBS SoCal’s Early Learning, Digital Content, Production, and Marketing teams, as well as the executive office. The employee must regularly use independence and discretion in the execution of duties with limited supervision.

Resume & Minimum 2 references Qualifications: • 5+ years' experience in non-profit, community, and/or government relations (A combination of education and experience will be considered) • A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required (Master’s degree preferred) • Bilingual Spanish speaking (required) • Demonstrated success in partnership development, cultivating prospects, communicating regularly with existing partners, and identifying additional opportunities • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to connect with people at all levels and backgrounds and build trustworthy relationships • Ability to quickly understand and apply new concepts, models, and technologies • Experience leading a team and supervising staff • Proactive, dynamic, and results-driven individual • Creative; entrepreneurial; ability to explore, adapt, and bring new ideas to work • Experience managing projects, taking them from inception through completion • Ability to track results, analyze information, and communicate findings effectively using spreadsheets, presentation tools, etc. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, follow-through capabilities, and personal accountability for performance • Excellent oral and written communication as well as presentation skills in diverse environments • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and other organizations
