Requirements / Qualifications

Brief Description of Essential Duties Under the supervision of the site administrator, provides an educational program for students encompassing basic skills and motivating students to develop the skills, attitude, and knowledge needed for a good educational foundation as follows: • Uses information about individual students’ academic strengths, needs, and progress in planning • Provide academic service to engage student in work aligned to the California Common Core Standards • Uses resources that will promote high levels of learning and student engagement • Follows established policies and procedures for reporting incidents (e.g., child abuse, bullying, harassment, and violence) Other Information Tentative assignment will be two (2) periods of exploratory CTE courses at Sycamore Middle School, one (1) period of exploratory CTE course at Manzanita, and Ag Program grant writing / work. The position is categorically funded for two (2) years on the 193-day calendar.

Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s Degree plus appropriate coursework to qualify for teaching credential 2. Appropriate CA credential authorizing the teaching of students in Agriculture or equivalent, with EL authorization Application Deadline: Until filled 1. Internal: Signed letters of intent must be received in the District Office by deadline date. 2. Applications must be completed online at edjoin.org. External candidates must provide all of the following materials to be considered: 1) cover letter; 2) resume; 3) completed EdJoin application; 4) copy of California credential authorizing service in the specified content area; 5) three (3) current letters of recommendation within the last year. Determination of site location may be different than sites above dependent on transfer requests and final assignment placements for current staff.
