The primary purpose of your job position is to organize, plan, and implement orientation and mobility services to blind and visually impaired clients.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Master's degree in orientation and mobility from an accredited college or university required. • Within one year of hire obtain certification through the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals as a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist. • A Minimum of two years of teaching experience or working with individuals who are blind or visually impaired. • Knowledge of all areas of adaptive equipment for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. • Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of two (2) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles.
