TK-12 INSTRUCTIONAL COACH
THE POSITION
The instructional coach is an itinerant position that works with various certificated and classified school personnel and district staff to support all levels of technology integration within the District adopted curriculum.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Instructional Technology
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
The duties listed are typical, but not exclusive:
? Support the vision and work of TVUSD’s technology and curriculum goals.
? Work collaboratively with curriculum design teams, grade-level PLCs, and teachers to integrate 21st century technology skills and instructional strategies for effective curriculum implementation.
? Plan and facilitate district, site, and individual professional development opportunities.
? Model best practices for integrating digital tools within specific curricular areas.
? Provide collaborative support to teachers through problem solving, modeling lessons, and scheduling opportunities for peer observations, conducting mini-training sessions, and 1:1 coaching with teachers/staff.
? Plan, facilitate, and provide differentiated opportunities to support school staff based on varying levels of digital/curricular proficiency.
? Creates high quality video tutorials and other resources for site and district staff.
? Develop digital curriculum/resources to enhance UPOs and CIAs.
? Actively support curriculum adoption implementation with professional development, use of digital platforms, and strategies to best use technology for learning.
? Analyze and interpret student learning data to inform next steps from a district and site perspective.
? Troubleshoot and support various digital platforms, including but not limited to Clever, iReady, Canvas, Infinite Campus, SeeSaw, etc.
? Maintain a positive working relationship with the administrators and teaching staff.
? Communicates regularly with site and district leadership regarding implementation and/or potential needs/concerns related to technology integration and platforms.
? Presents professionally, effectively, and timely with administrators, teachers, students, and parents.
? Travels between school sites and District departments with applicable mileage reimbursement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
- Valid California Teaching Credential.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- A minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience.
- Curriculum Design Leadership experience.
- Site/District Leadership experience.
- Instructional Coaching experience preferred.
- Apple Certified preferred.
- Google Certified preferred.
- SeeSaw/Canvas Certifications preferred.
WORK YEAR: 184 Days
SALARY: Certificated Salary Schedule ‘A’
