POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time position in our Innovation and Instructional Support division. The Information Technology Coordination Specialist, under general supervision, uses considerable technical organizational and decision-making skills, coordinates the repair and maintenance of District computers and related technologies and assists the Informational Technology Support Supervisor with logistics and leading projects. This career opportunity is an 8 hour/day, 12 month/year position with a work schedule anticipated to be 7:00am-3:30pm and includes paid holidays, sick leave, vacation and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and life insurance. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: Equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade, supplemented by course work or training in related fields. Experience: Four years of increasingly responsible experience in performing diagnostic testing, repair and preventative maintenance on computers, mobile devices, and/or related hardware in a customer service environment. Experience in IT project management can be substituted for repair and customer service experience. A minimum of one-year experience in a supervisory or informal lead capacity is desirable. Successful work experience with repairing Apple desktop and laptop computers. Licenses/Other: Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License and insurability to drive a District vehicle as part of the District’s Pull Notice program is required. EXAMINATION PROCEDURES
This is a promotional only recruitment. The examination may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test, performance test and/or structured oral interview. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination.
Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be twelve (12) months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill future vacancies.
Date of Examination
The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified by email, or in writing and/or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s).
