Job Summary
Under the supervision of Valley ROP and High School Administration instruct high students in child development theory and current early childhood teaching techniques and strategies in a licensed preschool. Prepare high school students for employment in preschools and child care centers. Coordinate educational and administrative activities for the Child Care Licensing Program (CCL) licensed pre-school while following state guidelines.
Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (required) • Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit is required • Must possess or be eligible for a valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Home Economics OR a Career Technical Education Designated Subjects Credential in the Education, Child Development Family Services industry area • A minimum of three years recent experience working as Preschool Supervisor or Director • Valid California Driver’s License • Master’s Degree in Child Development – preferred but not required. • Meets California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office minimal qualifications for Dual Enrollment in Child Development – preferred but not required.
