Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the supervision of Valley ROP and High School Administration instruct high students in child development theory and current early childhood teaching techniques and strategies in a licensed preschool. Prepare high school students for employment in preschools and child care centers. Coordinate educational and administrative activities for the Child Care Licensing Program (CCL) licensed pre-school while following state guidelines.

Requirements / Qualifications

The application must include: 1. Completed application and materials submitted online 2. Letter of Introduction 3. Current Resume 4. Three (3) letters of recommendation 5. Applicants must meet qualifications and provide all necessary materials in order to qualify as a candidate.

• Bachelor’s Degree (required) • Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit is required • Must possess or be eligible for a valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Home Economics OR a Career Technical Education Designated Subjects Credential in the Education, Child Development Family Services industry area • A minimum of three years recent experience working as Preschool Supervisor or Director • Valid California Driver’s License • Master’s Degree in Child Development – preferred but not required. • Meets California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office minimal qualifications for Dual Enrollment in Child Development – preferred but not required. The following documents are required to apply for the position:
