Under the direction of designated administrator, to develop, coordinate, implement and provide leadership for the district's programs and services. Work with school sites and other departments to better serve students. Serves as the immediate supervisor for designated employees.

DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Collaborates with other departments for the purpose of implementing and maintaining student services and programs to identify and assess student needs. 2. Directs the teacher recruitment program and the selection process for certificated personnel. May be required to travel extensively. 3. Responsible for the development of maintenance of certificated personnel files. 4. Establishes and maintains a system for the monitoring and maintenance of certificated employee evaluations. 5. Monitors sick leave, leaves of absence, and work-year schedules for certificated personnel. 6. Oversees new employee orientation, professional growth and training programs, and assists with employee recognition programs. 7. Participates in the negotiation process and maintains confidentiality of sensitive negotiation and other personnel related information. 8. Directs the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, and files related to assigned activities and personnel. 9. Communicates with other administrators, District personnel, and employee groups to coordinate activities and programs, resolve issues and conflicts, and exchange information. 10. Oversees the operation of certificated substitute services. 11. Assists administrators in the remediation of certificated personnel. 12. Assists in the development of appropriate documentation in the evaluation and dismissal process for certificated personnel. 13. Provides direction and assistance in resolving employee grievances and appeals concerning personnel actions. 14. Attends a variety of meetings and serves on assigned committees. 15 Reviews the effectiveness of recruitment, selection, and assignment practices as related to the affirmative action goals of the district. 16. Maintains seniority rosters for all certificated personnel. 17.Maintains a liaison with the colleges and universities to assure appropriate assignment and evaluation of student teachers. 18. Assist Superintendent's Office as an advisor in matters pertaining to his/her assigned areas of personnel administration. 19. Assists with the development of certificated personnel and job descriptions. 20. Provides support for other department(s) as assigned. 21. Assists in training and supports certificated staff new and in-need. 22. Works collaboratively with Senior Cabinet on areas assigned. 23. Serves as the District's Uniform Complaint officer. 24. Performs other related duties as assigned.
