Job Summary
The Fashion Design and Merchandising Instructor will collaborate with another Fashion Design and Merchandising instructor to develop and deliver a comprehensive curriculum in fashion design and merchandising. The instructor will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a career in fashion design or related fields.
Requirements / Qualifications
Appropriate CTE or Designated Subjects teaching credential or eligibility for appropriate credential. Candidates without a credential must have 3 years’ experience within the field. CalAPS will assist individuals in obtaining the preliminary credential provided the candidate can prove applicable proof of experience. Credential cost will be reimbursed by CalAPS. Three (3) years of work experience in the technical skills, trade, or vocations to be taught are required. One (1) of the three (3) years of the required experience must be within the last five (5) years, or two (2) years within the last ten (10) years.
