Requirements / Qualifications
The Teacher Assistant will support classroom teachers and/or other educators to improve instructional outcomes for students. The Teacher Assistant will assist the classroom teacher and support students in achieving established academic goals, ensure the safety and well being of students, and perform other duties as needed or assigned to support students in our classrooms. Job Requirements and Qualifications Education/Experience 60 more college credits required; bachelor's degree highly preferred Some experience working with students in a classroom setting Experience working in diverse settings, including with Latinx students and/or English Language Learners preferred Knowledge/Skills General knowledge of the practices, methods and techniques used in teaching individual and groups of students General knowledge of classroom management and working with school-aged children Skill in the use of classroom and instructional equipment Ability to operate classroom technology (skateboards, Chromebooks, etc.) Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite and Google Suite Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, parents, students, and administrators. Ability to maintain files, documents, and information
