ABOUT THE CALIFORNIA VIRTUAL ACADEMIES AND THE MULTI-TIERED SYSTEM OF SUPPORTS (MTSS) COORDINATOR POSITION: The California Virtual Academies (a network of 9 public charter schools) delivers online/virtual home-based instruction to TK-12 students in California. K12, inc. is our curriculum provider and you will instruct your students online via a Class Connect Program. The Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Coordinator, under the direction of the Director of Intervention and Special Programs, will work alongside the academic departments to combine and clarify data-based problem-solving processes, and align resources and initiatives into a comprehensive model that addresses the needs of all students. The MTSS Coordinator will work directly with the academic departments’ intervention teams and collaborative teacher teams to: 1. Assist in the organization of resources, supports, and staff to serve all students and close any existing student group achievement gaps; 2. Use data-based decision-making, problem solving, and progress monitoring processes simultaneously; 3. Strengthen the Tier 1 program (academic, behavior, social emotional) and clarify Tier 2 and Tier 3 services that are targeted to ensure that every student is reaching his/her full potential; 4. Ensure students get the support they need when they need it in order to achieve the California Virtual Academy vision and mission.

HOURS AND SALARY INFORMATION: Full time: Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:00pm You are not allowed to have another job during these contracted hours Full Time Employees: Annual Salary based on degree & up to 3 years of experience in California.
