Job Summary

The Calaveras County Superintendent of Schools, on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Calaveras Unified School District, is seeking a qualified and experienced leader to serve as Interim Superintendent for the district for the 2024-2025 school year. This is an opportunity for a passionate and strategic educational leader to provide stability and direction for the district as they embark on a search for a permanent Superintendent. The Interim Superintendent is directly responsible to the Board and will provide strong leadership to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the district. Key responsibilities will include: • Providing instructional leadership and supervision of all district staff. • Developing and implementing the district budget and deficit elimination plan. • Overseeing curriculum development and assessment. • Work collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and the community. About the District: The Calaveras Unified School District provides quality education programs for 2,900 students, grades TK-12, at 10 school sites, as well as providing preschool and after-school programs.
