Job Summary
• The ideal candidate for the Director of Athletics position will have considerable experience within a Catholic School high school setting and display a willingness to promote Catholic ideals and culture, through athletics. • The ideal candidate will also have extensive high school coaching experience as well as a developmental sensitivity and understanding of adolescence. • She or He should possess experience and expertise with athletics facilities management, game/event management, and considerable work in mentoring other coaches. • A Bachelor’s degree is required (Secondary Teaching Credential or Administrative Services Credential preferred). • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, especially in articulating the values and mission of MCP, and of Catholic education. • Highly self-directed with an attention to detail and ability to organize effectively. • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders. • Willingness to be active in the local community, including marketing the school for image and excellence.
