Holy Cross, a Catholic junior high school in Fresno, CA is seeking a qualified Dean of Discipline The Dean of Discipline will oversee the functions and oversight of student affair items of the school as it relates to Activities, Athletics, and Safety/Security. This individual will be responsible to coordinate, communicate, and supervise the duties as reflected by the school’s mission. The student discipline piece will require the individual to communicate with parents and hold students accountable, while also being able to provide teachable moments throughout the process of enforcing school rules. In addition to the discipline component, this individual must be able lead others in a collaborative environment as necessary.

Requirements / Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities • Education: BA degree, Master’s preferred • Experience: Prefer at least two years of experience working with junior high students • Must enjoy working with and mentoring youth in all types of situations. • Provide leadership to the school when Principal is absent. • Must be able to work after hours on student and school related functions. • Applicant must embrace peer-led youth ministry philosophy. • Skill set: Must be proficient in technology, creating reports, spreadsheets, power points, etc. • Skill set: The applicant must have the ability to organize, communicate, and oversee the discipline and student affairs of the school. • Skill set: The applicant must be able to continually and consistently communicate with parents regarding student behavior. This communication must be in a way that fosters a partnership between parents and the school. This is a fully benefited position and salary is commensurate with experience and level of post-graduate education.
