Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assess students taking written, oral or performance examinations; execute written and verbal information/translations for parents and District staff; and prepare and maintain student profile folders as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

FILING DATE: The District Classified application form and supplemental application must be submitted to the Personnel Commission Office prior to May 21, 2024, 4:30 PM. SELECTION PROCEDURE: This is an OPEN recruitment to establish an eligibility list and hire substitutes. Language Assessment Proctors work on an as-needed basis. This is not a permanent position – part-time, on-call, as-needed basis only. The recruitment process will consist of a written examination and/or performance examination and an oral technical interview which are tentatively scheduled for the weeks of May 28-June 7, 2024. Qualified applicants will be notified by US mail or email. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school, experience as a translator or interpreter, and working with children whose primary language is not English. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class are required to speak, read, and write a second designated language (Language Assessment Proctor II only). Successful completion of the District’s competency tests in reading, writing, and mathematics is required before employment. (Language Assessment Proctor I/II). Valid California driver’s license. Employees in this classification must maintain insurability at the District’s standard rate during the term of employment.
