Sunrise Middle School is a public charter middle school serving the whole child. We are seeking a full-time PE teacher for 2024-2025. This teacher should have a single subject credential and should be skilled in classroom management and motivational practices for both advanced and traditionally underserved students. We are seeking a teacher who understands what immigrant and low-income youth have been through, who loves middle school students, who is passionate, and who knows how to make school relevant to students' lives. Candidates must: • keep a safe space for physical education where all students can participate and thrive; • believe in the potential of each youth; • contribute to the creation of a school-wide culture; • build close connections with students, their families and the school community; • and, be willing to participate in all aspects of school life. We are seeking teachers who are positive, dedicated, flexible and risk takers!
