Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Special Education/BCBA to plan, organize, monitor and oversee the Special Education Department; Work in conjunction and interactively with General Education to develop and integrate a full spectrum of Special Education services. Maintain compliance issues with State and Federal laws and regulations.Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel. Organize and direct the operations and activities involved in the development and implementation of behavior management programs, plans, and strategies for identified students according to established methodologies and procedures. Provides consultation, training, modeling and direct support to administrators, classified and certificated staff, service providers and parents concerning behavioral strategies, interventions and programs. Coordinates communication, information, resources and staff development activities to meet student needs and enhance educational effectiveness of behavioral programs and services.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field Master's degree in Psychology or Special Education, desired Valid California Teaching Credential Valid and Current BCBA Certification Three (3) Current Letters of Recommendation Resume Letter of Introduction Valid California Driver's License TB Clearance DOJ/FBI Fingerprint Clearance
Experience working in a school district or related field with increasing levels of experience. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
