Job Summary
Under the direction of middle school principal and Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds, perform custodial services required to maintain assigned buildings and adjacent ground areas in a clean, orderly, and secure condition; supervise Custodians assigned to the school; provide custodial assistance as required for school or community functions; perform other duties as outlined by the principal or Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds.
Requirements / Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF: Basic methods, supplies and tools used in custodial work. General custodial and simple maintenance work. Use common electrical cleaning equipment. ABILITY TO: Learn the schedules, procedures and tools used in custodial work. Work well with those contacted in the course of the work, and willingness to cooperate with faculty and other workers. Understand and carry out oral and written directions. Supervise others to plan and organize their work and to see that work is performed effectively. Maintain work pace appropriate to given work load. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or experience in lieu of high school graduation.
