Requirements / Qualifications
Must meet ESSA requirements - to meet requirement, applicants must possess either an Associate of Arts (A.A) degree or 48 semester units from college/university. Candidates that do not meet the 48 college units will be required to test prior to interviewing. Contact HR to schedule your appointment. See testing dates and interview dates below in the "Comments and Other Information" field. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: *Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or equivalent *supplemented by courses in childcare, psychology, education and training of autistic students *some experience working with autistic students in a structured environment preferred. REQUIREMENTS: Please complete the online EDJoin application and attach documents listed below as applications missing attachments will be considered incomplete and therefore will not be considered for an interview. *High School Diploma (certificate or official transcripts) *College Transcripts (showing proof of 48 college semester Units) *Resume (not required, desirable) *Valid American Red Cross Standard First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain Certificate within six weeks of employment (at employee expense and not on work time). *May assist students with basic personal care activities such as dressing, toileting or bathroom including catheterization, feeding and grooming.
This position requires a valid High School Diploma/Degree or valid equivalency established by an accredited institution/agency within the United States. Applications that do not include a valid degree will not be considered. If you would like to receive credit for a foreign degree, you may submit your foreign degree to an approved education evaluation service. Any cost of evaluation is the candidate’s responsibility.
