Job Summary

Under the direction of the Site Administrator, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom environment; assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans; perform routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel.

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and experience working with children. College coursework in psychology, elementary education, child growth, and development may be substituted for experience. Requirements specified under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Special qualifications supported by Title I funds include: o Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education or, o Obtained an associate’s or higher degree (college level) or, o Take and pass the Paraeducator test offered by our school district
