Essential Job Functions:
Assists district staff, substitutes, vendors and others.
Attends meetings.
Conducts individual and group information sessions.
Maintains substitute employee system and database, supplies, files, manuals, etc.
Operates automated substitute employee management system.
Performs related duties as required.
Prepares reports, correspondence, files, system documentation, etc.
Processes substitute employee applications, requests for substitutes, system updates and other items.
Job Requirements - Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge to perform basic math for practical applications; to read technical information, create and/or compose documents; participate in panel discussions; solve practical problems and deal with a variety of issues at one time. Keyboard/computer literate.
Skills to perform multiple specialized technical tasks, communicate with persons of varied cultural and educational backgrounds; operate equipment used in profession; operate standard office equipment; perform standard bookkeeping/accounting procedures; perform standard clerical procedures; prepare and maintain accurate records; and utilize pertinent software applications.
Abilities to deal with a level of complexity of tasks that require significant flexibility with people; coordinating others person’s schedules and/or activities; discretion and independent action and a judgment with regards to using equipment and/or working with people, type at a speed of 45 wpm, be computer/keyboard literate.
Responsibility in relationship to people includes leading guiding and coordinating the resources required (people, equipment, facilities) necessary to perform job functions of moderate scope and moderate opportunity existing for significant impact (positive or negative) on the organizations’ mission, work is normally reviewed in detail.
Working Environment: The job functions are generally performed in an indoor environment requiring the following significant physical abilities: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering and/or feeling; sensory speaking, hearing and visual.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is required..
Experience Requirements: Two years job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is a prerequisite.
Licensing, Certification, Testing Requirements: Fingerprint/criminal justice clearance; Tuberculosis clearance, valid drivers license.
