Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the supervision and direction of the Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction, with guidance from the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, the Elementary Literacy Instructional Coach (TK-6) is responsible for growing teachers' practice of the science of reading and research-based reading instruction through coaching and professional development to support student achievement. They shall provide staff with resources, support them in implementing the California state content standards with effective use of the adopted curriculum, and guide their instructional practices through professional development, mentoring, modeling, and coaching.

QUALIFICATIONS: * Valid California Teaching Credential * Full English Learner Authorization or BCLAD (preferred) * Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience in an elementary setting * Experience developing and/or facilitating professional development (preferred)
