The Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) is made up of 44 schools serving preschool-12th grade with approximately 33,000 students in grades TK-12. All Teachers must include resume and cover letter. TEACHERS WITH A CREDENTIAL must attach the CTC public view of their credential status or a copy of their current credential in: • Single Subject in Art, Dance, Music, or Theater; • Career Technical Education Credential in Arts, Media, and Entertainment INTERN ELIGIBLE TEACHERS must include a letter of appeasement or letter of intern eligibility from their university. TEACHERS WITH A BACHELOR’S DEGREE INTERESTED IN AN EMERGENCY PERMIT must include copies of ALL transcripts noting BA Degree (foreign transcripts have been evaluated for US equivalency by a CTC approved agency), and proof of Basic Skills Requirement having been met via CBEST, CSET with Writing Portion, SAT, ACT, AP or other equivalent per CTC. TEACHERS WITH PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE INTERESTED IN A CTE CREDENTIAL must include proof of three (3) years of work experience directly related to Arts, Media, and Entertainment plus enrollment in a Commission on Teacher Credentialing approved Career and Technical Education Credential program.

Fremont is part of the Bay Area, located Southeast of San Francisco and nestled near Silicon Valley. The following employment procedures will be followed: 1. Hiring staff review applications on file of those who possess the appropriate credential for the assignment. 2. Applicants for the specific assignments will be contacted for a scheduled interview. 3. Hiring staff will recommend candidates to Human Resources. 4. Human Resources staff will offer contracts after review of applicant's qualifications. 5. Applicants will report to Human Resources to complete employment papers, sign contract, and receive authorization documents to report to work. Since referral and hiring are done by Human Resources, applicants should not contact the department directly to request employment.
