Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services: Assist in curriculum planning and staff development activities related to art; assist in the development of a long-range District curriculum plan; assist in working with the professional staff in the development and execution of effective instructional methods and programs related to art and art instruction; keep current on innovative methods in the field of education, including new programs, materials, methods, and equipment related to art. This is a single position classification. All duties assigned are considered essential.

Credential: Possession of a valid California teaching credential with elementary level authorizations. Education: Possession of an earned Baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university, including all courses needed to meet credential requirements. Experience: Successful completion of student teaching, an internship program, or two years of full time elementary classroom teaching experience. Favorable recommendations from student teaching supervisors and/or other professionals who have observed the character and/or scholastic attainment and/or classroom performance of the teacher.
