Job Summary
The Program Specialist-Primary position will be focusing on grades K-2. We are looking for an instructional leader that possesses strong collaboration abilities to work with school leaders, teachers, support staff, and families, to increase K-2 student achievement in ELA and math, in grades K-2, with a focus on early literacy and early math skills development. The Program Specialist-Primary grades will possess a strong knowledge of early literacy development, early math skills development, and evidenced-based practices to increase student achievement. The Program Specialist-Primary grades will provide support to all independent study and classroom-based PCI schools. Travel is required. In addition to a strong background in early literacy development, the Program Specialist-Primary Grades, much have a thorough knowledge of the K-2 ELA and math California Framework. This is a CalSTRS position.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Possess a valid California Multiple or Single Subject Teaching Credential • Valid California Administrative Services Credential preferred • Advanced degree from an accredited college or university preferred

The Instructional and Academic Program Specialist serves the schools and programs of Pacific Charter Institute (PCI) to provide direct intensive curriculum and instructional support services and coaching to include effective strategies and interventions to student populations. The Instructional and Academic Program Specialist will work directly with teachers to support learning and instructional practices. Working with the Director of Education Services the Instructional and Academic Program Specialist will promote reflection, provide guidance and structure where needed, and focus on strengths, collaboration and best instructional practices.
Pacific Charter Institute offers a unique instructional model serving homeschool and independent study students across 16 counties through Heritage Peak Charter School, Rio Valley Charter School, Valley View Charter Prep, Sutter Peak Charter Academy and New Pacific Charter.
PCI offers full time employees a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision and STRS for certificated staff. A 401k plan is available for ALL STAFF (including part-time) with an employer contribution. PCI also offers flexibility for both staff and students!
