Job Summary

Job Summary

The job of Department Secretary is done for the purposes of providing a wide variety of confidential administrative and secretarial support to department administrator; communicating information on behalf of administrator to department staff, other districts, public agencies, etc.; ensuring compliance of department/program activities with financial, legal and administrative requirements; and acting as liaison between the administrator and other parties, providing information, addressing issues and/or providing general support.

Requirements / Qualifications

Typing Certificate of 40 or more words per minute. High School Diploma or equivalent. Job related experience is required.

This position involves extensive database management and data analysis and problem solving, as well as assisting staff with various data challenges, collaborating with colleagues, greeting and assisting members of the public, and providing general administrative assistance in the District's Special Services Department. A current (within two years) 40 wpm keyboarding testing certificate is required for this position. We do not accept online typing certificates. If you do not have a current typing certificate, please attach a document stating you understand that a typing certificate is required for this position and you will provide one if you have been selected for hire, prior to your start date. This position is currently located at 2501 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd, Roseville. It is anticipated that this position primary work location will be moved to RJUHSD district office at 1750 Cirby Way, Roseville in approximately 6-9 months.
