Requirements / Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND (a) Two years of higher education study (48 semester units or 72 quarter units), OR (b) Possess an Associate's or higher degree, OR (c) Successful completion of a Fontana Unified School District-approved Paraprofessional Certificate and/or Paraprofessional Assessment Exam. Under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, the law requires that paraprofessionals who assist in classroom instruction must meet the specific educational requirements listed above. Proof of certificates, education, etc. will be required upon recommendation for employment. - Please read "Job Description/Essential Elements" above to review additional required experience for this position. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience working with children in a group or individual setting.
