Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Payroll Supervisor, prepares, processes, monitors, and maintains the District’s payroll in accordance with District, local, state, and federal laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience A high school diploma or equivalent AND two years of payroll or technical accounting experience OR An associate degree with coursework in accounting, business administration, or a related field AND one year of payroll or technical accounting experience

PURPOSE
To establish a list of eligible candidates that will be used to fill subbing needs and any future vacancies (full and part-time, permanent and temporary) for the duration of the list, up to one year.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Completed applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on May 8, 2024. Late applications and/or certificates will not be accepted.
TESTING PROCESS:
A) Multiple Choice Test = 40% weighting on final score
Tentatively scheduled as early as May 15, 2024
B) Structured Interview & Excel performance exercise = 60% weighting on final score
Tentatively scheduled for week of May 20, 2024
This exercise is designed to test your ability to utilize Excel in finding and retrieving data, and overall proficiency in performing common payroll calculations to calculate gross and take-home salaries. To be successful in the time frame provided, knowledge performing calculations using Excel is required.
