Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent/Executive Director of the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), provide support and training to school site administrators and staff, paraprofessionals, teachers, and parent/guardians in appropriate behavioral assessment, behavioral intervention techniques and the development and execution of behavioral intervention plans for students with autism and other behavioral challenges; provide supervision and support to Behavior Technicians. *Tentative interviews are on April 29, 2024.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) certification, 3 years certification preferred; • A minimum of three (3) years prior experience working in an educational setting developing and implementing intensive behavioral intervention programs for students with complex and/or severe behavioral problems; • A Bachelor of Arts or Science in applied behavioral sciences, psychology, social work, sociology, education, or mental health related field; • A Master of Arts or Science degree in applied behavioral sciences, psychology, social work, sociology, education, or mental health related field, preferred; • A valid California Teaching Credential, desirable; • Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid California Driver License; • Provide proof of automobile insurance; • Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting twenty-five (25) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds with assistance. Employee will be a member of the Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS) to which both the employee and MCOE contribute. MCOE does not participate in the Social Security system.
